VERAWEALTH

Help and support

Vera is a free personal finance coach for education: ask anything about your money and see the math with your own numbers. For questions, problems, or feedback, email mukherjee.arn@northeastern.edu.

Is Vera financial advice?

No. Vera explains the math, your options, and the tradeoffs so you can decide. It never tells you to buy or sell a security, and it isn't a registered investment adviser.

Where are my numbers stored?

Only on your phone. When you ask a question, they're sent to Vera's server and to Anthropic's Claude to write the answer, and they aren't kept afterward.

Does Vera keep my questions?

If "Help improve Vera" is on, Vera keeps your question and its answer for 90 days to learn what people ask, without your numbers, your name, or anything that identifies your phone. You can turn it off in the Privacy tab.

How do I delete my data?

Open the Privacy tab and tap "Delete my data." That erases your numbers, saved plans, and settings from your phone. Deleting the app does the same.

Why can't Vera answer right now?

To stay free, Vera has a daily question limit for each phone and a daily limit overall. If you see a limit message, try again tomorrow. Answers can take up to a minute while Vera runs its calculators.

Does Vera work outside the U.S.?

Yes. Vera's calculators and tax guidance follow U.S. rules. In other countries, including India, Vera answers in your currency and explains local options in general terms, without U.S. tax math.

Does Vera connect to my bank?

No. Vera doesn't connect to bank or brokerage accounts, and it can't see or move money.
